| CAPTAIN'S LOG
We started our
day with a Fire, Emergency and Abandon Ship Drill at 0600 hours.
Bit sleepy eyed and a bit chilly on deck this morning, but the drill
went well and you could discern the improvement in reporting,
performance and expediency.
Training is
also ongoing as is the last of the U.S. Coast Guard Deck and Engine
inspections. There is a lot of student participation and that
is important. We are on the final day of Anchor rumbling as we
complete the training for International Standards known as STCW
(Standards for Training, Certification and Watch-keeping).
Fortunately it
is a wonderful day with temperatures on the 60's at noon. One
thing for certain....it is busy, busy, busy!
