| CAPTAIN'S
LOG
Eastbound in the Med...
So, it is mostly overcast today,
although the temperature is not bad, There is a trough behind
us and one passed East of us and we are fortunate to be riding the
back side of a ridge of high pressure.
Training is in full swing and we rotated
companies today. Our time is short with only a week for the
transit and the unknown is how long the transit through the Turkish
Straits will take. One of the days is the 2nd of our 4 holiday
routines.
Traffic is steady and varied and gives
everyone an opportunity to see the other ships as they go by.
Of course the 25 knot container ships just blow by us like we are
standing still.
Preparations for Odessa are proceeding but I
must say the paperwork is overwhelming. Multiple copies of
just about everything and even a lot we don't have because of our
Government owned status.
Everyone seems to be catching up on their rest
after walking miles in Gibraltar.....
Last clock change tonight.

Answer page.
